In 2000, Oprah Winfrey said, "do your passion" which created a 'light-bulb' moment for Sue. She thought about her past and the pure enjoyment she got from drawing. Watercolors actually found Sue, and her feminine energy began to surface. Fanciful, spiritual and romantic all mirror Sue's inner-self and shine through in her watercolor paintings. She takes weekly classes and weekend workshops to keep on her creative, artistic journey.

Sue was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a young girl, she could hardly wait to go to her local community centre for craft day and see what she could create. From hats to painting on glass, Sue was in her 'zone'. At one of her elementary school art classes, she applauded a picture that her art teacher showed the class, only to find out it was her very own! Sue would often draw her favorite hairstyles from magazines, and use old piano sheets to draw flapper women. Always the adventurous spirit, Sue moved to Calgary to start a new chapter. After working in corporate roles, Real Estate captured her interest in 1988. This new career gave her the freedom to be herself and use her creative side for marketing and advertising, as well as help clients be creative within their new homes. Sue loves her profession, but craved more, and that's when she discovered Zazzle and Art of Where Sue now sells her watercolor paintings on a wide array of unique, fun and creative Zazzle and Art of Where products. |
