Watercolor actually found me and my feminine energy surfaced once again. Fanciful, spiritual, romantic - all mirror my inner-self within my paintings. ...I take weekly classes and week-end workshops as this contributes to my creative journey.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as a young girl I could hardly wait to go to my community centre for craft day and see what I could create, from hats to painting on glass I was in a 'zone'. At one of my elementary school art classes I applauded a picture that my art teacher showed the class, only to find out it was my very own - I was so embarrassed, but I thought I did pretty good. ... I would often draw my favorite hairstyles from magazines just for fun and we had old piano sheets with flapper women on the covers and found myself drawing them as well. .... In Junior High Science class I had a blast drawing flowers and all their parts. ... When I finished school and started working that creative part of me faded away unintentionally. I was still adventurous and moved to Calgary to start new ventures. ... After working corporate positions, Real Estate captured my interest in 1988 and it gave me the freedom to be myself and to be creative with my marketing and advertising and also to help my clients to be creative within their homes. I continue to love my profession but I felt I needed more.
